Before you get in touch…
We hope our frequently asked questions answer your query.
Otherwise, please get in touch below.
Our centre is private and not accessible to the public, all of our experience days take place off site and must be pre-booked.
Our experience days run all year round; Owl Encounters run from March to September and Hawk Walks run from September to March. All other experiences run all year round.
We are on a farm, in a field please ensure you wear suitable footwear – if it is wet wellies may be required. Please dress appropriately for the weather , coats are often required, all encounters take place outside.
Weather plays a huge part in our experience days, in the event that the weather is too severe to go ahead, we will contact you beforehand to rearrange your date.
We have toilet and hand-washing facilities on site (excluding hawk walks). The flying field is up the farm track – this is an uneaven walk. If you have difficulty walking please contact us before booking and we will ensure we use a different field for your day with easier access (which is also suitable for wheelchairs). Food and drink is available on site.
Under 16s must have a responsible adult with them on their experience days. For encounters we require a minimum age of 5 – if you feel your younger child is capable of following instructions and handling the birds please contact us to discuss. Our Hawk Walks are not suitable for children under the age of 16.
It is not fair to our birds to touch them. Whilst they are captive bred and comfortable around people, touching them can cause damage to their delicate feathers and affect their waterproofing. They do not particularly enjoy it either. We appreciate you may have been able to touch birds elsewhere, but the wellbeing and health of our animals is always our priority so ask you to enjoy the encounter and gloved handling opportunities without touching.
